This is a sample of what comes out of the shop. Residential, commercial, custom one-offs — if it's made from metal, chances are we've built something like it. Every project on this page was fabricated in-house at our Kelowna shop, from raw material to finished product.
Stairs & Railings
No two stair jobs are the same. Different rise-to-run ratios, different materials, different architecture — a solution that works on one job won't always translate to the next. We work in mild steel, aluminum, and stainless, and we fabricate everything from the stringers to the handrail in-house. You'll see a lot of cable railing in this section. It's popular in the Okanagan because it holds up to the sun and doesn't block sightlines the way balusters do. For structural posts we typically run 2" square or round tube, sized to the span and load. The infill — whether that's flat bar, round bar, cable, or glass panel frames — gets spec'd to the project.
If you're getting quotes on stairs and railings and you're hearing a lot of "we don't do that," give us a call. Odd layouts and tight spaces are where custom fabrication earns its keep.
Gates & Fences
A gate takes more abuse than most people expect. It's the one piece of metalwork on a property that gets used every single day, opened and closed thousands of times a year, and it has to stay plumb and swing true while it does it. Cheap hinges and light tubing don't last. We build our gates with properly sized structural tube, heavy-duty hardware, and welds that won't crack when the ground shifts over a Kelowna winter.
The projects in this section range from simple driveway gates to full fence panels with decorative detail work. Materials vary by application — mild steel is the most common for gates and gets powder coated for corrosion resistance, but we also work in aluminum when weight is a concern or the client wants a maintenance-free finish.
Chimney Tops, Range Hoods & Fireplaces
This work sits at the intersection of fabrication and finish. A range hood or chimney cap is going to be a focal point in the room, so the fit and finish matters as much as the structural integrity. We fabricate these in stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum depending on the application — stainless is the go-to for kitchen hoods because it handles heat and humidity without corroding, while mild steel with a heat-resistant finish works well for fireplace surrounds and chimney tops where you want a specific look.
Every piece is custom sized to the opening or appliance. No stock sizes, no adapters to make something fit that wasn't designed to.
Metal Deco & Special Items
Not every job fits a category. Some of the most interesting work that comes through the shop is the stuff that starts with "I've got this idea..." — custom furniture with steel legs and frames, decorative wall pieces, yard art, motorcycle and bike stands, specialty brackets, and one-off fabrication that doesn't have a name yet.
This section is intentionally hard to categorize. The point is to show range — what changes between projects is the design, not the standard of work. If you've got a project that doesn't fit what you're seeing on other pages, that's probably a sign it belongs here.
